BIT 2010: the International Tourism Exchange is in Milan from 18 to 21 February

Bit, the International Tourism Exchange, is considered the largest Italian tourism exhibition and one of the most important fairs in the world’s tourism industry, with a complete overview of the best international offers. Held in Milan between 18 and 21 February, Bit gathers every year Italian as well as International travel and tourism professionals and travelers.
Expectations for the edition 2010 are as high as ever: 5.000 exhibitors in a space of 57.000 square metres and over 150.000 visitors, more than 100.000 of which being tourism-related professionals (nearly 20.000 from 150 different countries).
Exhibitors are spread over eight pavilions according to three main thematic areas:
Italy: featuring all Italian tourist products (divided into private and public organizations).
World: offering an as much as complete overview of the current international offers.
Tourism Collection: spanning a great range of tour operators, cruise operators, travel agents, hotel chains, air, maritime and rail carriers, rental and services companies
Apart from the above, great b2b opportunities are offered. The Bit 2010 showcases 4 workshops:
Buy Italy: now in its 25th edition, it is the most important workshop for Italian tourism products; an event gathering 2.200 sellers and 540 international buyers from 55 countries.
Buy Club International: a workshop entirely focusing on buyers from the tourism industry. It features 300 selected national and international sellers, 160 Italian and international buyers from 11 countries.
Bit Itinera: it is the first workshop centred on Religious tourism. 80 national and international tour operators, diocesan representatives, catholic associations and company clubs meet 220 private and public sellers from all around the world.
Buy World is a workshop focusing on international tourism. 100 operators from South-East Asia and 200 Tour Operators and Travel Agents do take part.
Additionally and on pace with a radically changing environment Bit will showcase the latest developments in Bit Technology, a section focusing on on- and off-line tourism technologies, CRS, HRS and on-line tour operators. Last but not least, the Travel & Food Tourism is an event dedicated to good food and quality tourism products.
On top of all the above, Bit is not just an annual event but rather a large community that goes on doing business all year round with the assistance of Bit Expopage, Bit Channel, Bit News, Bit Press Office and Bit Web.
